Built from belief.
Grounded in
community.
Goshen Haven started with a simple belief: young people deserve somewhere they can feel safe, be heard and find their footing. What began as a vision is becoming a community—one relationship, one conversation and one gathering at a time.

The founder's story
Why Goshen Haven exists
Goshen Haven began with a question: what happens to young people who need support, but don't always know where to find it? For many young people, the transition from adolescence into adulthood can bring pressure, uncertainty and experiences they don't always have the words—or the space—to navigate.
The vision for Goshen Haven was born from a desire to create that space: somewhere young people could come as they are, be listened to without judgement, build genuine relationships and find support for the road ahead. But we never wanted to build just another programme. We wanted to build a community.
A place where connection comes before correction. Where trust comes before asking difficult questions. And where support doesn't end when the immediate crisis does. That's the thinking behind our long-term Hub & Spoke model: beginning with community, growing through support and development, and ultimately creating pathways towards stability and independence.
“Faith is part of who we are. It is never pressure.”
The name
What does Goshen mean?
Goshen is more than a name. It captures what we want this place to feel like. In the biblical story, Goshen was a place of provision and protection—a place where people could live, grow and flourish. That became the inspiration for Goshen Haven. We believe a haven should be more than somewhere to hide from what's difficult. It should be somewhere you can catch your breath, find support, discover who you are and prepare for what's next.
“A haven isn't the end of the journey. It's where the next chapter can begin.”
Our Mission
To create safe, supportive spaces where young people can move from surviving to finding their footing, building confidence and shaping their future.
We do this through community, early support, meaningful relationships and practical opportunities that help young people navigate the transition into adulthood. Our long-term ambition is to build a pathway that can grow with a young person—from a place to belong, to deeper support, to greater stability and independence.
Our Vision
A generation that knows they don't have to figure everything out alone.
We envision young people who are resilient, self-aware, grounded in their values and equipped to build meaningful lives. We want to see young people move beyond simply getting through difficult seasons—to discovering their strengths, building healthy relationships, finding purpose and becoming the people they are capable of becoming. And, over time, we want the young people who find their footing here to become part of the community that helps someone else find theirs.

What we stand for
Our core values
Safe haven
You don't have to have everything figured out to have a place here. We meet people as they are. No labels. No judgement. We believe everyone deserves to feel seen, heard and valued.
Trauma-informed
Behaviour is communication. We want to understand the why. We don't reduce people to what they've done or how they're behaving. We look beyond the behaviour, listen carefully and respond with compassion, safety and understanding.
Community-rooted
We're building community, not just delivering programmes. Connection matters. We create opportunities for young people to build friendships, develop trust and experience genuine belonging.
Faith with freedom
Faith is part of our foundation, never a condition for belonging. Our Christian faith shapes why we serve and how we treat people. But it is never forced. Everyone is welcome, regardless of their background, beliefs or identity.
Our milestones
How we got here
2025
Goshen Haven begins
Goshen Haven was established with a vision to create safe, welcoming spaces where young people aged 14–23 could find connection, support and a sense of belonging.
2025
Our first Community Hangout
We took the first step from vision to community. Our first Community Hangout created a space for young people to connect, have honest conversations and simply spend time together.
2026
Building what comes next
We're developing the foundations for the next stage of Goshen Haven—from growing our community activity to preparing for a permanent Hub and exploring the partnerships and infrastructure needed to make our long-term vision possible.
Coming soon
The next chapter
We're working towards the launch of our first dedicated Goshen Haven space—a place where community can become a more consistent part of young people's lives.
